Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park continues to support the entrepreneurial environment
Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park continues to support the entrepreneurial environment and startups in the technology fields.

Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park has launched a new programme aimed at attracting and supporting more than 100 advanced technology start-ups by the end of 2026. The initiative includes incentive packages to facilitate access to funding and provide advanced laboratories and research facilities for field testing. Through the programme, the park seeks to accelerate the transformation of academic ideas and research into marketable commercial products for local and international markets.

The new funding and knowledge package focuses on key sectors, including artificial intelligence, 3D printing, sustainable energy technologies and water management. The initiative is being implemented in close collaboration with Sharjah’s University City and national academic institutions to align educational outcomes with the needs of the industrial and technology sectors. Park officials said the UAE’s flexible legislative environment provides protection and a strong incentive for entrepreneurs and innovators from around the world.

The move is aligned with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, which aims to increase the contribution of the innovation sector to gross domestic product. Attracting start-ups and investment capital will help create new specialised jobs and build a strong knowledge base that enhances competitiveness. Economic references expect such initiatives to bring a qualitative shift to Sharjah’s and the UAE’s innovation ecosystem in the coming years.
