The Sharjah Book Authority has unveiled details of the 2026 edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair, which will feature the participation of hundreds of Arab and international publishers. The authority said the cultural event will include a packed programme of literary seminars, panel discussions and specialised workshops aimed at people of all ages. The emirate continues to strengthen its position as a regional and international hub for books, publishing and creative content industries.
The fair’s cultural programme will host leading writers, thinkers and winners of international literary awards, who will present their intellectual and creative works. Its organisational framework will also facilitate business partnerships between publishers and translators, supporting the movement of translation and publishing between Arabic and other languages. The annual international platform will give members of the public and researchers the opportunity to discover the latest intellectual, scientific and fiction titles directly.
