The National Center of Meteorology records a noticeable drop in temperatures and chances of

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said in its weather bulletin issued on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, that milder air masses had begun affecting all parts of the UAE, bringing a notable drop in temperatures of between 3°C and 5°C compared with recent weeks. The centre said conditions would be partly cloudy and occasionally cloudy over some coastal and eastern areas, with convective clouds potentially bringing light to moderate rain at intervals. Moderate winds are also expected to strengthen at times and stir up dust and sand over exposed areas.

Warnings issued for swimmers and sea users

The daily report said seas in the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman would be moderate to rough at times as clouds develop. Sea users and swimmers were advised to avoid the water during unsettled conditions and to check the latest weather bulletins and alerts issued by the centre. The General Civil Aviation Authority and police authorities urged motorists to exercise caution on external roads if blowing dust reduces horizontal visibility, or when rain falls and water accumulates in low-lying areas.

Milder weather heralds start of outdoor season

The fall in temperatures towards the end of October marks the effective start of the UAE's milder-weather and outdoor activity season, with parks, beaches and nature reserves expected to attract large numbers of citizens and residents seeking to enjoy the early winter conditions. The weather changes coincide with preparations by municipalities and entertainment authorities to launch events and open-air markets and desert camping activities across the emirates.

Weather developments and cloud seeding efforts being monitored

The NCM is continuing to use its advanced network of radars, satellites and surface monitoring stations to track cloud formations and weather changes in real time. The centre said its cloud-seeding aircraft fleet was ready to conduct cloud-enhancement operations when suitable weather conditions arise, with the aim of increasing rainfall and replenishing groundwater reserves in line with the UAE's water security and environmental sustainability programmes.
